Description The Descartes working group is organizing a Continuous Medical Education symposium in Antwerp, Belgium on Friday, October 13th 2017.
With transplantation medicine constantly moving on, we offer you state-of-the-art talks by experts in the field on topics such as eplet matching, donor-specific antibodies, the most recent trials in kidney transplantation, and the cardio-vascular workup that should be done before transplantation in high-risk candidates. The afternoon will be devoted to interactive workshops sessions in small groups with experts in the fields.

We also encourage you to submit an abstract on kidney transplantation (any topic) following the NDT format instructions: max. 250~300 words (excl.
names and affiliations); four paragraphs labelled *`Background'*, *`Methods*',*`Results'* and *`Conclusions'*. The 3 best abstracts will be presented during the symposium. The 3 laureates will have all theirs costs covered, and will receive a grant of €1000, €750 and €500 respectively according to their rankings. Submission must be done by email to erik.snelders@uza.be. The deadline for abstract submission is September 15th 2017.
