ENSEIGNEMENT : 2ème session du diplôme européen de Médecine de Transplantation soutenue par l’UEMS et l’ESOT

Ce diplôme est ouvert aux médecins ayant validé les spécialités de Cardiologie, Pneumologie, Néphrologie, Hépato-gastroentérologie, Endocrinologie, Médecine interne, Immunologie et Pédiatrie et attestant d’une formation complémentaire de 2 ans dans une Unité de Transplantation.
Les modalités de candidatures et les spécificités du pré requis sont accessibles sur le lien http://www.uemssurg.org
en téléchargeant l’application form et le logbook.
Le contrôle des connaissances s’effectue sous la forme d’un examen oral en Anglais guidé par 3 médecins experts accrédités par l’UEMS.
La prochaine session se tiendra à Bucarest le 29 septembre prochain.
La deadline pour le dépôt des candidatures est actuellement fixée au 30 juin 2012.

Un nouveau DU de Mycologie Médicale est créé par Olivier Lortholary, Marie Elisabeth Bougnoux et Fanny Lanternier. Il peut interesser tous les transplanteurs et futurs transplanteurs. Ce DU pour ambition de former les cliniciens et microbiologistes aux bases mycologiques, cliniques et thérapeutiques actuelles indispensables pour prendre en charge de manière optimale ces infections de plus en plus fréquentes. Il est ouvert aux internes et aux seniors de maladies infectieuses, microbiologie, réanimation, hématologie, transplantation, pédiatrie.

| You can apply for this course in the ESOT Member Avenue. You have to be either a Temporary member or a full ESOT Member to receive access to the Member Avenue. If you are not a (Temporary) Member you can apply here. Temporary Membership is free and lasts six months. When the course application of a Temporary Member is accepted a Temporary Member has to become a full ESOT Member.
Important Send one paper copy of the entire application: extended curriculum vitae, letter of intent including future plans with regard to transplantation, the original application form signed by the Head of Department or the original signed attestation from the Head of Department that the applicant is a Junior Staff member in his department on stationery of the Department, to each of: 1. Your Hesperis Course National Representative, and 2. The ESOT Educational Committee, address: Miss Donna Wright, ESOT Secretariat, Room S3316 Transplant Unit, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Little France Crescent, Edinburgh EH16 5SA, United Kingdom.
During the electronic application procedure for the Hesperis Course, please, make sure you have the following items ready: - your curriculum vitae to update your CV of your ESOT membership account, and - the following documents to upload: 1. A letter of intent including your future plans with regard to transplantation, 2. A description of your current involvement in transplantation certified by the Head of Transplantation Department/Division with scanned-in signature (PDF or Worddocument).

ENSEIGNEMENT : European Diploma in Transplantation Surgery 2011

European Diploma in Transplantation Surgery The 5th Exam for awarding the European Diploma in Transplantation Surgery is organised by the Division of Transplantation of the Union Européene des Medecins Spécialistes (UEMS) Section of Surgery and the European Board of Surgery (EBS) in collaboration with the European Society of Organ Transplantation (ESOT).
The exam will take place at the ESOT Congress in Glasgow on 7th of September 2011. Deadline for applications is 30th of May 2011. The Preparatory Course for the Exam will take place in Limassol, Cyprus, 2nd-3rd June 2011. It is not obligatory to attend the Course in order to take the Exam. Deadline for registration for the Course is 15th of May 2011.
Senior Transplant Surgeons with at least 10 years of continuous experience as specialists practicing in formal nationally recognized posts are eligible to apply for an Honorary Diploma and be exempted of the examination.
