ITERT (Institut de Transplantation et de Recherche en Transplantation), part of IUN (ITERT Urologie Nephrologie) of Nantes University Hospital and the RTRS scientific foundation “Centaure” offers the opportunity of a 2 years post-doctoral position in the field of Transplantation Science. Only candidate having a medical degree can apply for this position. Research program of ITERT can be obtained through website of RTRS Centaure (http://www.fondation-centaure.org), INSERM U643 (http://www.ifr26.nantes.inserm.fr/ITERT) and general bibliography of ITERT (see site of ITERT/INSERM).
Having an experience in laboratory of clinical research and eventually of a PhD is highly recommended.
However any interesting proposition from medical degree candidate (surgery included) will be analysed. Any project devoted to transplantation science can be covered by the proposal.
Research can be conducted in any of the research team described on ITERT website (tolerance, chronic rejection, endothelial cells, transcriptional biomarkers, work on rodents, large animals and human).
Purely clinical studies, particularly performed on the DIVAT databank (>10 000 kidney recipients) and pancreas databank, are welcome. Support for these works is provided by the ITERT bio statistical platform.
Current studies on these databanks, in tight collaboration with European academic and private laboratories, focus on biomarkers of risk after transplantation.
This position does not concern clinical activity. However, candidate may nevertheless follow clinical staff and keep contact with medical activities.
